Business Simulation Dynamics

Bernard Sistemas' business simulation have the following characteristcs : general (the most important functional areas are present); interactive (decisions of one company have influence in other companies) and the companies are normally divided in teams.

These systems allow 8 companies per simulation. It would be better if each company were formed by teams of 3 to 4 participants. Each team member must have a role in the company’s, such as Finances, Production, Marketing, or Human Resources. Bernard Sistemas’ systems simulate up to 13 quarters.

The teams must making decisions per quarter. These decisions are taken by using reports and a newspaper published by the administrator. This person will be responsible to define the macroeconomic environement (inflation rate, interest rate, economical growth, etc.), publishing such information through a newspaper. The decisions are processed by the simulation software and new reports are created. The administrator publishes another newspaper with information about the previous quarter, as well as information valid for the next quarter. This newspaper allows a new round of decisions.
